Moar art of Jason! I love how this one turned out! While I was painting, I decided to keep outlines around him because I felt it made him look more solid. My favorite part about him is his eyes. And it's finished on my birthday! Yaaaaay!
At first I wasn't sure what I was looking at, hahaha. Is that a dog's head in the background? If so, it has very pretty colors and a very pretty texture. :3 Though I'm not entirely certain why it's there and the significance it plays in this piece. As for Jason himself, personally I'm much more of a traditional art fan, but It's a very good composition. The shadows and face anatomy are good, and the eyes have very good detail! The one thing that I find strange or out-of-place however is the leaf (?) on the side of his head. In the end, it's a solid composition, good job! :3
Yes, the dog is apart of the background. At first it wasn't going to be that way, but as I started coloring I thought it would look better if it blended into the background. The leaf is his tattoo, so it doesn't necessarily play a role in the picture. Thank you!
I can see the effort you've put into this from the striking details. I really adore the blue here, especially in the eyes and hair, it fits perfectly with the rest of the piece. I like the intensity in his eyes and the wrinkles around the eyebrows, too. The blood bit needs tiny adjustments since it doesn't blend smoothly with the rest of the picture. Nevertheless, it's still a great piece!
Variety of color and texture. Character reminds me of Andrew Bennett from DC Comics I, Vampire. Furthermore I like the details of smoking and bloodied nose. Those details differ your character from the character I compared it to. Also there is a human hardness your character has. The choice of dog in the background lends tiself to that sensibility.
The leaf is his tattoo, so it doesn't necessarily play a role in the picture.
Thank you!
